ExAC at the largest maternity hospital in Sub-Saharan Africa

Pumwani is the largest maternity hospital in Sub-Saharan Africa with about 20.000 deliveries every year.

Thanks to Consolata Wanjiku Ndege Principal Tutor, Pumwani College of Nursing and Midwifery, for a warm welcome and hospitality.

An enthusiastic group of participants learn about the use of external aortic compression in the management of PPH and highly appreciated the opportunity to practice on the ExAC Trainer. They all immediately acknowledged the benefits of preventing sever bleeding by this simple maneuver.

Thanks to Robert Maina and the NGO, RAFIKI MAMA, by Daniel K Mwangi, Samuel H. Matoke and Julius Kimathi who have organized and facilitated this start on the implementation of external aortic compression in Kenya.
