Our partner, Lena Sjöholm at Prehospital Akututbildning in Stockholm demonstrated the ExAC Trainer at the FLISA-Congress in Kalmar 17.-19. of September. The congress assembles representatives from prehospital care from different health regions in Sweden.
We experienced great interest in the ExAC Trainer and the ability to train external aortic compression related to trauma as well as in relation to postpartum haemorrhage. Sweden has already implemented early application of external aortic compression in their national guidelines for treatment of poatpartum haemorrhage, but so far systematic simulation training has not been available.
After the congress, several health regions and ambulance services requested an offer on the ExAC Trainer or wanted more information. We expect a stronger presence in Sweden in near future!
