Pre-hospital emergency education in Stockholm (Prehospital akututbildning i Stockholm) has purchased the ExAC trainer after having rented the manikin for their courses.

Educational leader, Lena Sjöholm, tells about their experiences:
- We have used the ExAC trainer to practice uterine massage and aortic compression in our PEPP (Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals) courses when teaching emergency prehospital delivery. So far, approximately 100 nurses and doctors from pre-hospital units have participated. All with the comment: "SO important, and a very realistic simulation!"

The ExAC Trainer can also be modified to simulate non-obstetric situations:
- We quickly realized that external aortic compression training can be vital even for non-pregnant women. External aortic compression can reduce large bleeding located high up on the thigh, the groin/genital area that cannot be stopped with a tourniquet. We have therefore used the ExAC Trainer to practice external aortic compression in our PHTLS (Prehospital Trauma Life Support) courses. So far, approx. 150 paramedics, nurses and doctors have been trained in prehospital aortic compression with the ExAC Trainer.
We are grateful to see how hundreds of professionals in the Stockholm area have been trained to perform external aortic compression using the ExAC Trainer!
