Nelle Kleppe (Kaljouw) from Reinier de Graaf Hospital in the Netherlands, brought the ExAC Trainer when providing emergency training in Malawi with focus on maternal health.

In a short field update she says:

"In July (2024), we conducted a series of simulation-based emergency training sessions in Malawi, focused on improving maternal healthcare. As part of the training, healthcare workers were taught various life-saving techniques, including aorta compression for managing postpartum hemorrhage (PPH), an essential skill in emergency

obstetric care. The simulation-based approach provided participants with hands-on experience in a safe and controlled environment, allowing them to build confidence in responding to obstetric emergencies.

The training was conducted at three mission hospitals: Embangweni, Ekwendeni, and Livingstonia. We are deeply grateful to the healthcare teams at each hospital for their commitment and active participation."

We are thankful to be a part of a large international network of devoted professionals who spend their time and effort to make childbirths safer!
